About Kept

Kept is UK software that helps small businesses reach Cyber Essentials certification and stay compliant between renewals. We built it because the hard part is rarely the security itself — it is the evidence, the policies and remembering it all again twelve months later.

What we promise

Plain British English

No jargon walls. Every question explains why an assessor asks it and what a good answer looks like.

Mapped to the official scheme

Our checklist follows the five Cyber Essentials controls: firewalls, secure configuration, user access control, malware protection and security update management.

Honest about what we are not

Kept is not a certification body. We prepare your evidence; an IASME-accredited body assesses and issues the certificate.

Priced for small businesses

£29 a month on Starter and £79 a month on Growth, in pounds, cancel any time. No onboarding fee and no long contract.

How we handle your data

  • You tell us about your cloud services, devices and controls. We use that only to score your readiness, write your policies and remind you about renewal.
  • Records are separated per organisation with row-level access rules, so one customer can never read another's data.
  • Card details never reach Kept. Stripe processes payments and we hold a subscription reference only.
  • We do not sell, rent or share your compliance data with third parties, and we do not use it to train models.
  • You can download your policies and evidence at any time, and ask us to delete your account data by emailing hello@keptcompliant.co.uk.

Full detail is in our privacy notice and terms of service.

Certifications and registrations

We hold ourselves to the same standard we ask of customers. This is where we list the registrations that apply to Kept as a business:

ICO registration

We register with the Information Commissioner's Office and pay the UK data protection fee. Our registration reference will appear here once issued.

Status: registration in progress

Cyber Essentials certified

Kept itself is working towards Cyber Essentials certification through an IASME-accredited certification body, just like our customers.

Status: assessment in progress

IASME partner listing

We are joining the IASME partner directory for organisations that promote the Cyber Essentials scheme. This is a listing, not an endorsement.

Status: application in progress

We update this page the moment each registration completes, with the reference numbers so you can verify them yourself.
